It officially opened in September, yet this delightful new franchise is already turning heads—and for good reason! Whether you’re craving freshly made beignets or a specialty drink, Beignets & Brew has quickly become the go-to spot for a little indulgence and a lot of flavor.
If you’ve never had a beignet, you’re in for a treat. Beignets & Brew offers these soft, pillowy pastries by the dozen, perfect for sharing (or keeping all to yourself!). The classic beignets come generously dusted with powdered sugar, but don’t stop there—there’s a variety of flavors that will make your taste buds sing. Each bite is light, airy, and perfectly sweet.
I stopped by around 1 p.m. and found that the beignets arrived fresh and hot in just a few minutes. The cinnamon sugar beignet was a perfect combination of light and airy with just the right amount of sweetness. The Cinna-Swirl came next, a swirled delight of cinnamon goodness. Each bite was the perfect balance of flavor and texture.
While the beignets steal the show, the drink menu at Beignets & Brew is equally impressive. From decadent dessert cocktails to creamy lattes, strong coffee, and refreshing smoothies, there’s something for every palate. I opted for a lemonade that arrived with the perfect balance of tart and refreshing—just the thing to balance the sweetness of the pastries.
The decor is bright and playful, with a vibrant pastel pink theme, grass walls, and eye-catching neon lights that spell out their slogan “Find Your Sweet Spot.” Whether you’re grabbing a quick pick-me-up or enjoying a leisurely afternoon with friends, the cozy café atmosphere makes it the perfect place to hang out. There’s indoor seating for a laid-back vibe, or, if you prefer some fresh air, outdoor seating is available as well.
The good news doesn’t end with the Market Square location! Beignets & Brew is opening a second spot off West Tennessee Street in the coming months, so Tallahassee will have even more chances to experience their delicious treats.
